Coyote Bob/ This years 48 hour Challenge
Like last year I participated in a 48 hour challenge. It was a lot of fun, the topics were random, the theme was "What is old is new again", and getting the chance to work with some of my favorite people was awesome. Similar to last year and working with Zainab, and creating a rather random story to animate on, this years short was ...Odd. The best kind of odd really.
What we had story boarded was a Commercial with a friendly Coyote Bob and his dancing meat "Ulta-meat" convincing and inciting the viewer to "Come on down!". At that point the comercial stops and fades in to the actual"Coyote Bob's" restaurant. Then the Camera pan in and fallows a family through the entrance and into the busy resteraunt.
The challenge required that we use a couple of random quots from other movies, so when the camera works its way through the people in the resteraunt some of these lines are used. The Waitress "Cocoa Bean" (a name we had to incorperate in) walks threw the croud, the camera fallows her to where see meets up with Coyote Bob. She exclames that they are all out of "Tuesday Special!". Thats Bob's que so head to the back. He enters a laboritory and changes from the fun family favorite to a sneaky mad scientist. With giggles and creepyness he puts something into a large Microwave. Then somthing squishy and moving is put on the chopping block. With some key shots of a strange looking tool and Bob about to swing, a shot of Bob bringing out some meat on a platter and "Ding! Order up!". Comercial Pops up with Bob "don't be late for the Senior Sundays!", and of corse dancing meat.
Now due to time crunch and falty 3D charicter rigs, we had to do our best to tell the story with missing peices, enjoy.

I need to give my partners a lot of credit, All the 2d cartooning was my Friend Tiffany, Also Zainab did all the audio recording and editing. With out there determination there really would not be anything to see.
